Mid-size projects are limited in scope.
The project usually addresses Policies, Processes, and Procedures at the department or business unit level.
Nevertheless, the project and content can be complex.
A mid size project requires templates and guidelines for Policy and Procedure development at the department or business unit level. Department and business unit projects can be related to compliance, system implementations, or process changes – all requiring well defined Policies and Procedures. Changes to the Policies, Processes, and Procedures should not unwittingly be developed within a silo, adversely impacting other departments or business units. One must consider the business unit’s relationship with the rest of the enterprise, especially when developing or changing Policies, Processes, and Procedures. By carefully documenting Processes and Procedures, well defined guidelines and templates will assist with effective documentation.
Mid-size projects can be highly customized and delivered quickly. Mid-size projects frequently have a limited project team, with the Subject Matter Experts being key to the development of the Policies, Processes, and Procedures. The eDocumentation Process provides standards, templates, and guidelines, which allows the Subject Matter Experts to concentrate on task of developing and reviewing content, rather than creating a Documentation toolkit.
